Happy weekend everyone! It seems that this time of the year is just the hardest to get stuff done in the evenings. Here in Chicago the sun sets before I even leave work. Is is just me, or does anyone else find it incredibly hard to be motivated when it’s pitch black outside?? Maybe I’m really a plant and receive my energy from the sun…
Speaking of plants, I got a beautiful fiddle fig tree for Christmas from my grandma. (For those of you who don’t know, fiddle fig leaf trees are basically a rite of passage for home decor bloggers… you aren’t officially in until you’ve got one 😉 ) But, as excited as I am, it’s been a rough go these first weeks. I’ve already lost a leaf and the top one is so sad and will not stand up straight. I moved it the other week to another room and tried watering a little more than I had and I think I’m seeing progress… Let’s hope!
This DIY copper tape art by Brittany Makes has my creative juices flowing! I love the texture and geometry of it… now I wonder where I could find brass tape?

Have a fabulous weekend! I’m hoping to get real on this half bath over here.. Anything you’re accomplishing this week?
Great picks for this week! And don’t worry about your plant. Mine is still alive after 6 months and I kill everything!! I think they actually like less water which is why I am doing so well since I rarely remember to water it. My big leaves got all brown and fell off but now new cute little green ones are sprouting up…I feel like a plant master! 😀
Thank you Tania, you have no idea how relieved this makes me feel!!! Hopefully my brown ugly leaves will shed soon too and make way for some pretty little new ones 🙂
