Is sheen on your walls a major decorating faux pas? Or is it the best idea since sliced cheese?? (since we all know sliced cheese trumps sliced bread, yummy!) You already know that I’m planning some shiny walls in our house in the near future, but you also may still think I’m crazy for it. Well, let me try and justify myself by showing you some gorgeously glossy walls….
As you may have seen in my last post, this is the wall that sparked it all (I’m a poet and didn’t know it….). While trying to brainstorm a way to fix the dark paneling in our den, I came across that photo on Pinterest and knew it was meant to be. Plus, check out how cozy and ‘den-ish’ it is!! It’s really not too crazy shiny, it just has that slight sheen that adds the touch of classiness, in my opinion.
Let me barrage you with images of glossy walls and you let me know what you think…. We can even do a fun little poll at the end 😉

Ok, now that you have been fully immersed in glossy wall options… what say you… Yay or Nay?

I have to say that I’ve never seen pics of glossy walls, so I’m not totally sure yet 🙂 I think I like them on the ceiling or with a more matte wainscoting instead of the whole wall. It would be bounce light around a den to keep it bright!
Totally understandable.. they are a bit extreme and dramatic looking. But hopefully I will achieve that bouncy light effect in our den like you were talking about, without going overboard 😉
I can’t wait to see it! I do really like your first inspiration photo, maybe it’s just the ones in bright colors scare me, cause bright colors scare me in general 🙂
